Koh Tao is a unique island. Due to its relatively small size, it is sometimes not even featured on major maps, yet in 2003 certified almost half of the total of 70,000 scuba divers in Thailand.
It has an abundance of marine bio-diversity and natural underwater beauty. With the rapid growth of the scuba diving industry on the island, throughout Thailand and Worldwide, marine conservation is an important issue.
